Shavington Academy is extremely proud of our pupils today as they receive their GCSE results. The outcomes they have achieved, amidst the challenges they have faced cannot be ignored and is a testament to each and every one of them. We have to recognise the journey the Class of 2022 has experienced and the hard work and resilience they’ve shown to achieve the fantastic qualifications they have.
Here at Shavington, GCSE Results Day is more than grades for our pupils, it is the start of the next phase of their journey into further education and training and an opportunity for us to celebrate this with them. All of the staff at the Academy are immensely proud of every pupil and their own individual achievements. We must however acknowledge the following pupils as they secured Grade 9 – 7 in all of their subjects: Willem Swinden, Lauren Walton, Millie Cadman, Emily-May Stockton, Jack Mills, Anna Machin, Nathanael Howell, Josh Hall and Leander Blake. They should all be so proud of their dedication and hard work.
Headteacher, Emma Casewell said: “The educational journey the Class of 2022 have travelled has been one that no one could have ever expected and the way that they have performed is nothing short of phenomenal. Once again, pupils have stood up to so many challenges and shown their determination to succeed. It is important that pupils do remember that they are more than a grade. The resilience they have shown under such conditions is remarkable. They are all exceptional, inspiring and talented young people, and we are extremely proud of them.”
